Petrichor: the earthy scent produced when rain falls on dry soil. The word is constructed from Greek, petra, meaning ‘stone’, + ichor, the fluid that flows in the veins of the gods in Greek mythology.
The biological cultivation of our olive groves, the non-industrialised activity, the rich subsoil and the fine Mediterranean climate transfuse Petrihor-land its fine flavour, exceptional aroma and high nutritional value. The olive tree variety adramytiani is being cultivated in the north eastern Aegean giving our olive oil its distinctive flavour.
Petrichor-land is available in two types of packaging, in a wooden box or in a specially handcrafted olive tree log. Finding a suitable olive tree log can be challenging and in combination with the time consuming craftsmanship this special packaging is available in limited quantities.
